about my name

My name is SS DukhNiwaran Kaur Khalsa. This isn’t the name my Irish Catholic mother gave me. When my spiritual journey found its home in Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma, I asked my spiritual teacher, Yogi Bhajan for a name to guide the rest of my journey on this path. He tuned into my energy and looked at my destiny and named me "DukhNiwaran Kaur" which means “the one who removes pain from everyone". I have worked to live up to this name ever since. The SS before my name is an honorific title for Sikh Ministers.
